ABOUT US
Who We Are
The Teaching Fellows Program at USC Upstate seeks to provide a wide scope of enhancement experiences for this group of outstanding education students. Our goal is to develop them as a community of learners, to introduce them to prospects for leadership opportunities in K-12 schools, and to retain the Fellows not only at this institution, but in the teaching profession as well. Freshman and Sophomore Fellows at USC Upstate are enrolled in a seminar class every semester, which is built around a sequence of early experiences in K-12 schools.

Each of our Fellows completes observation hours in primary, upper elementary, middle and high school grades. Collaborative effort is made to place students in settings where the K-12 student community is diverse. All of our Fellows partake in several meetings during the semester. These meetings are designed to allow them an opportunity to become familiarize and explore the possibilities and challenges of education as a career.
