The USC Upstate Priority Strategies:
Goal 1. Expand local impact and visibility.
Outcome Metrics: Volunteer hours, number of local events and meetings.

Complete or exceed 10 external service hours locally; in K-12 schools, Teacher Cadets partnerships, and local organizations.​

Actively participate with one approved student organization.

Attend at least one statewide cohort meeting per semester.

Engage in education advocacy opportunities.
Goal 2. Increase scholars’ exposure to multicultural experiences.
Outcome Metrics: Increased conference presentation, bonding activities, Teacher Cadet New Teacher Shopping Day.

Present at regional and national conferences related to education, teacher leaders, or other related issues.

Design regular cohort bonding activities.

Engage with guest speakers and presenters.

Increase outreach projects.
Goal 3. Achieve academic excellence and self-efficacy.
Outcome Metrics: Increased cohort GPA, Praxis exam scores, successful graduates.

Increase and maintain individual cumulative GPA.

Regularly participated in academic support initiatives.

Graduate 1 scholar by December 2023 and 7 by May 2024
Goal 4. Promote and engage all scholars in holistic health and wellness.
Outcome Metrics: Goal setting and routine check-ins, Onward book study, wellness seminars

Actively participate in Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators book study and related activities.

Identify social-emotional needs and engage with guest speakers on this topic.
